A son comes to faith in Jesus Christ

Terry, I wanted to take a minute and personally "Thank You" for leading my son to the Lord this weekend. I am good friends with Bud Dier and my son, Matthew has worked in the sound room at the church with Bud for years. The Lord really works in unusual ways. About 10 years ago my son had to do a scouting project involving a local church and my wife spoke to Tom Augliano who suggested that my son, Matthew, help in the sound room. Since my wife works weekends as a nurse I ended up taking my son to church (something I had grown away from having been raised in the Catholic Church) and lo and behold over time I felt the need to get baptized in the river. Tom Augliano and Jim Lewis baptized both my wife and myself. We have talked to our son on and off about the importance of this decision. But through God and your presence and word this weekend my son made the commitment and now is saved. I can't thank you enough for "telling it like it is". Over the past 5 years my son and I have been climbing the 46 high peaks in the Adirondacks. We summited our 46th. peak on 8/4/12. I told Bud today that I thought it was a great feeling to reach that final peak this summer but what happened to my son in the River yesterday tops it all. I wished I had taken a moment and thanked you personally yesterday but didn't think of it till today. Is it any coincidence that I just happened to see Bud today and he sent me your e-mail? Keep up the good work. I hope to see you when you again return to our area. You probably don't know who we were but we were dressed in black shirts and sat right behind you at the baptism
